If this was early release game i'd give a positive review, maybe. It's completely unfinished and unbalanced. You either squash the enemy or hit an unbreakable wall, nothing in between. The grind to get through the wall is unclear as this game is missing crucial information how to gather materials to upgrade your units. You kind of have to figure out where the materials drop and grind the same map over and over dozens of time, then hope you can break through the DPS check on the next map. This game has very big potential, what worries me though it's "released" which means the dev is prob done with it. You feel like a beta tester playing this game. Some units are complete garbage and some are super op. Doesn't matter though, the DPS check maps will make you grind till your eyes bleed out. If i could i'd return this game. Gave it too much time in hopes I could maybe finish it and forget i ever spend money on it. I hope the devs will balance this game out but it's a lot of work. 1. Smashing QWER over and over is not fun, there must be a better way to summon you units, maybe set a ratio to summon automatically and let the user override the automation when they feel like it to insta summon 2. Show average material in each map, i still cant figure out which map is best for ember, also ember drop rates are very rare imho, i finished the game and still have not completed the tree as i dont' have enough ember (but have millions of rage etc) 3. QoL: after battle let me see the map without going through the upgrade tree, it's very annoying atm 4. In the dictionary just give some info on monster weakneses as atm it's just a useless description (unless I'm missing something). I have no idea if the fire monsters are immune to fire or not, what works on them, or the chest pieces, no idea 5. There seems to be little to no synergies to the units, my best strategy i found was to output as much DPS as possible 6. Fix some maps that requires crazy DPS in the first wave to get money to spawn new units. It's a weird DPS check that if you first wave of unit dies it's game over, but if it clears at least some minions you suddenly have so much money it takes you 5 seconds of spamming QWER to use all of the money and then the game is over as you overwhelm the enemy. Basically the first wave must have enough DPS to clean first wave or you cant finish the map. That means units that have slow ramp up are basically unusable throught the game, they just die before they can ramp up and it's game over. 7. Make bosses more fun by forcing the user to change tactics (different units) to beat them, atm it's just DPS check plus luck on the first few waves composition where your units can clear so fast you can spam more units before they die. 8. I think having only 4 units in each map is too low. Wish there were more synergies between units and instead of 4 slots you could summon whatever you want depending on the scenario. I just can't be bothered to change unit in my slots on every map, it's too bothersome. I just picked one comp with highest DPS and run with it never touching other unit types even when i suspected my fire archers are doing nothing to fire monster types.

There are some good ideas here, and the developer has been receptive to feedback, but in its current state I can't recommend the game. The first few hours are enjoyable. You're experimenting with different unit compositions, deciding where to go on the map, and figuring out which skill-tree upgrades will help you progress. Initially, I assumed optimizing those decisions was a major part of the gameplay loop. However, the developer clarified that the map isn't intended to be an efficiency puzzle and that battles actually have hidden modifiers designed to bring them closer to the player's current level. The intention is apparently that you shouldn't need specific units or unlocks to progress, nor should you need much backtracking. That's where my actual experience differs. Eventually I started hitting progression walls where experimenting with different combinations and adjusting the skill tree wasn't enough. The practical solution became returning to previous areas, accumulating more resources, buying more upgrades, and trying again. Other players appear to be encountering something similar, including finding particular unit combinations considerably more viable than others. The developer has said they're looking at rebalancing this, which is good, but I don't think simply lowering the difficulty addresses my main issue. Difficulty and grind are two different things. I actually want difficult battles that force me to reconsider my composition and upgrades. That's where the strategy should come from. The problem is when you've already experimented with those options and progression ultimately comes down to replaying content until your numbers are high enough to overcome the enemy's numbers. There's also a broader issue with the amount of gameplay depth. The developers mentioned that their testing produced roughly an 8-hour playthrough with minimal backtracking. But after a few hours, I felt like I had already seen most of what the core gameplay loop had to offer. Making that loop easier or shortening the experience doesn't necessarily solve that. I'd rather see more viable unit compositions, more meaningful build decisions, and encounters that reward changing strategy instead of simply accumulating additional upgrades. I don't think this is a bad game, and the developer's willingness to engage with feedback is encouraging. There's a decent foundation here. It just currently feels like the progression system is being asked to carry more of the experience than the underlying gameplay depth can support. For now, Not Recommended, and I still firmly stand by my opinion that it isn't worth the asking price, regardless of how much the developer argues otherwise in the discussion forums. There's already an entire thread of players describing the same progression wall: repeatedly grinding previously completed content with little meaningful progression, while the developer is actively discussing rebalancing the game in response to that feedback. If you buy it in its current state, be prepared to effectively participate in the game's QA and balancing process. You're paying for the game while identifying progression problems, reporting balance issues, and providing the feedback being used to determine how the experience should be adjusted. That's the part I don't agree with. Paying customers shouldn't become the substitute for sufficient pre-release testing and balancing. There's a difference between developers responding to normal player feedback after launch and releasing a product where paying customers are discovering fundamental problems with the intended progression loop. We've seen this cycle countless times: buy now on the promise that it'll improve later, provide the testing and feedback along the way, and hope the game eventually becomes what you paid for. Maybe this one will. Maybe it won't. I'm reviewing the game I can play right now, not the game it might become later. And right now, I don't think the experience justifies the asking price at FULL RELEASE! It's not even Early Access...

Really satisfying incremental tower defense game. The army building and upgrade system make the progression very rewarding, especially as the waves get larger and more chaotic. Charming and highly replayable.

Generally a really enjoyable experience, even though it can get a little too grindy for my liking. Many creative and different Units, fun world, great humour, good skilltree and overall a good little game.

Very bad balance of units. Basically to proceed you need to level up your knight to lvl100+ (golden knight simply has op stats to easily proceed) Afterwards in skill tree of a knight will appear shadow and paladin knights, one has the same amount of damage as lvl100+ golden knight another hp. Each lvl1 at start which with new lvls become even more powerful. Then the game is simply passing other locations and slight amount of grind.
