Fun, and a cool concept overall, however has some pretty glaring issues that are very prevalent in the latter half of the game especially. To put it simply, it made me really appreciate how well of a job Valve did at teaching players key concepts in HL2 that players would use throughout the game, and that's where I think this mod fails hugely - randomly bringing in key parts of a puzzle(s) that you had never had to use prior and not signifying proper paths and practices to execute those sequences smoothly, leading to major confusion at many moments, breaking the flow entirely. Despite that though, I enjoyed it, I hear the second one is great and I hope it improves on this aspect. Despite the flaws, it's fun overall, especially the perspective of fighting the Rebels/Citizens as a CP, that's where most of my enjoyment lied.

I appreciate the effort put into this mod, but the gameplay is just mediocre. The map layouts are sometimes very awkward, features just get randomly introduced midgame, boss fights are way too unbalanced compared to every other enemy in the game and puzzles are very unobvious, so much so you can not beat this game without a tutorial. While the world & visuals looked great, the chapter transitions felt way too sudden, and some features felt like gimmicks, such as the CFLU fever randomly happening because why not. 4/10.

An outstanding Half-life experience almost entirely betrayed by one of the worst final boss fights I've ever played. It's an excellent take on the spin-off formula, you play as a lowly civil servant for the Combine and barring any spoilers just a terrible case of the Mondays. Addressing some common complaints, I played on the hardest difficulty and while you are just a worthless grunt without the hazard suit, combat was not overly difficult, a challenge at times but far from impossible. Puzzles: I would hardly call them that in retrospect and in the moment were well implemented obstacles we've seen before in the series and were easily assailable sometimes with multiple solutions. It must be said, playing on the hardest difficulty, the final boss was near as makes no difference impossible to the extent that I almost quit to write a bad review. But I stuck with it; definitely not worth the achievement. And the final cutscene plays. I wondered how this lowly scrub's day would come to an end and sure enough it was concise, perfectly done and thematically cohered to the series at large, and that is Entropy Zero in a nutshell.

какая же это залупа, а не игра, чувство такое, что игру делал какой-то еблан, из шутера тут унылые перестрелки с повстанцами, а остальное в этом убогом дополнение, это блядские головоломки которые ♥♥♥♥♥ никому не всрались, никому не советую

Tbh, quite stinky. It has some obtuse level design, and puzzles which require you to scavenge among heaps of physics props to find the one thing you need (baffling design choice). The guns are fine (personally I think it was unnecessary to add so much recoil to them like I'm playing Counter Strike) but the Vortigaunts suck to fight.
