STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic to absolutny klasyk RPG i jedna z najlepszych gier, jakie kiedykolwiek powstały w uniwersum Gwiezdnych Wojen. Akcja rozgrywa się tysiące lat przed filmami. Tworzymy własnego bohatera, kompletujemy drużynę i przemierzamy kolejne planety, próbując powstrzymać Dartha Malaka i armię Sithów. Największą siłą KOTOR-a jest fabuła. Dialogi, towarzysze, wybory moralne oraz możliwość podążania jasną lub ciemną stroną Mocy sprawiają, że naprawdę czujemy wpływ naszych decyzji na rozwój postaci i historii. System walki oparty na zasadach RPG może początkowo wydawać się dość archaiczny, ale oferuje ogromne możliwości rozwoju. Moce Jedi, miecze świetlne, wyposażenie i odpowiednie zbudowanie drużyny dają sporo satysfakcji. Technicznie gra mocno się zestarzała. Animacje są drewniane, interfejs archaiczny, a sterowanie wymaga przyzwyczajenia. Nie ma to jednak większego znaczenia, kiedy historia zaczyna nabierać tempa. KOTOR ma świetne postacie, kapitalny klimat i jeden z najbardziej pamiętnych zwrotów fabularnych w historii gier. Obowiązkowa pozycja nie tylko dla fanów Star Wars, ale również dla każdego miłośnika dobrych RPG. Zdecydowanie polecam.

If you play this game, know that you're not just playing the best Star Wars game ever developed, you are also playing one of the best games ever made. It's a roleplaying game that still, to this day, offers countless choices to dealing with enemies, obstacles and quests, all in very different, creative and fun manners to do each of the former. It is however, important to know that this is an old game, as such, it requires support from the community to mod properly and play it with higher resolutions and proper graphics. Nothing overly complicated but something you should keep in mind.

Ролевая игра 2003 года от студии BioWare. Это вроде те, кто делали Mass Effect, который я никогда не играл. Сюжет отлично проработан, он построен вокруг поисков потерянной карты звёзд и тайны главного героя. Интрига держит до самого конца, а финальный поворот многие запоминают надолго. Атмосфера проработана хорошо, планеты выглядят узнаваемо и живут своей жизнью, даже если размеры локаций скромны. Захватывающая история с неочевидными решениями и моральным выбором. Например, в детстве я умудрился не перевести на Светлую сторону Джухани (это тёмная джейдайка на Дантуине). Как-то не задалось и пришлось её прикончить там, тогда даже подумать не могу, что она может быть нашим спутником. Такой же трюк можно проводить и с более простыми NPC, то есть где-то запугать или наоборот задобрить и так далее. От этого наша аура светлеет или темнеет. Давным-давно ещё совсем неокрепшего меня парило, что боевая система пошаговая, а тут несмотря на это бои проходят быстро и анимации неплохие, хоть их и мало. Особенно "шквал", он же "поток" или сальтуха с ударом сверху. Тяжело убиваемый Кало Норд вечно ищущий тебя по всем планетам, мандалорцы, уродливые мобы-монстры и прекрасный Коррибан - на мой взгляд самые интересные квесты были именно там. В детстве прошёл почти всю игру, но застрял на моменте, когда Бастила в плену (в самом конце) и мы попадаем в какую-то комнату с загадкой. Много воспоминаний с этой игрой и состарилась классно, смело можно сейчас играть.

After spending over 300 hours with Knights of the Old Republic, I can say it remains one of the most memorable RPGs I’ve ever played. What I liked most is how deeply the game pulls you into its world. The writing is still sharp, the characters feel alive, and the choices you make genuinely shape the story in ways that matter. The moral decisions, the companions, and the slow build toward one of the best twists in gaming all hold up incredibly well. The combat and movement can feel dated today, but once you settle into the rhythm, the systems become part of the charm. The music, atmosphere, and sense of adventure more than make up for any rough edges. Even after hundreds of hours, I still find myself exploring every dialogue option, trying new builds, and replaying the story just to see how differently it can unfold. If you enjoy story‑driven RPGs, meaningful choices, and classic Star Wars world‑building, I absolutely recommend this game. It’s a timeless experience that still rewards the time you put into it.

This game is older than I am, and it definitely shows, but despite this is still one of the best games I've played in my life. I 100% suggest [laying the game, and try to avoid looking things up as you might spoil yourself of an incredible twist.

needed HOURS of MODS to fix, after that was mostly perfect. Still janky and needed restarts here and there but great story and nostalgia. My hours dont show for some reason tho likely due to playing it with mods through a shortcut. 7/10
