Fallout: New Vegas
Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas. It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead…and that’s before things really get ugly.
It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more.
Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3. Enjoy your stay. Key Features
Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip.
See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout. Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles! A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas.
The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle. New Systems! Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty.
Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase “up close and personal”. Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks, or get right to the action using the finely-tuned real-time combat mechanics. An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns!
With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have devised a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time. Let it Ride!
In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it’s all in how you play the game.

Hey kiddo, Handsome Jack here... and I just played Fallout: New Vegas, and apparently someone looked at the post-apocalyptic wasteland and thought, “You know what this needs? Gambling, political extremism, mutated monsters, and one very confused delivery guy with a bullet in his head.” Fantastic. Finally, a protagonist with workplace trauma. You play as the Courier, who gets shot in the head at the beginning of the game and somehow decides, “You know what? I'm still going to finish this delivery.” That's dedication. If one of my employees got shot in the head, I'd at least expect them to file the appropriate paperwork. Instead, this lunatic wakes up and immediately starts wandering across the Mojave looking for the guy who shot them. And that's where the game gets good. You can join the NCR, side with Caesar's Legion, work with Mr. House, or decide that everyone involved is an idiot and take Vegas for yourself. Obviously, I picked myself. The factions are fantastic, the characters are memorable, and the game constantly gives you choices that actually matter. You can talk your way through situations, shoot everyone, sneak around, manipulate people, gamble, steal, bribe, lie, or simply walk into someone's house at 3 AM and steal their entire wardrobe. That's not role-playing. That's executive authority. And then there's the Mojave. Kiddo, this place is basically one enormous corporate dispute with guns. You've got raiders, mutants, NCR soldiers, Legion fanatics, mercenaries, robots, drug addicts, psychopaths, and an astonishing number of people who desperately need you to solve their problems. You meet someone who says, “Please help my town.” Sure. You help them. Then someone else says, “Actually, they're terrible people. Help us destroy them.” Okay. Then a third person says, “Both of you are idiots.” You know what? Fair. The writing is probably the best part. Characters actually feel like they have opinions, motivations, and consequences. Your choices can completely change what happens to entire factions, towns, and people. And the dialogue? Fantastic. You can have a serious conversation about the future of civilization one minute and then convince a psychopath to launch himself out of a cannon the next. That's range. The combat is showing its age, the gunplay can be clunky, and the game has enough bugs to qualify as an insect sanctuary. But honestly, I don't care. Because New Vegas gives you freedom. It lets you be the hero. The villain. The idiot. The dictator. The capitalist. The cannibal. The guy who solves every problem with a baseball bat. You can basically become whatever kind of lunatic you want. 10/10, kiddo. Fantastic writing, memorable characters, meaningful choices, ridiculous freedom, and enough political intrigue to make even a Hyperion board meeting look civilized. I'd give it 11, but Mr. House already has a giant screen telling everyone he's in charge. And I don't appreciate the competition. He should've hired me.

Bethesda turned Fallout into an action game, and Obsidian did what they could to turn it back into an RPG. Great setting, music and writing.

This game is special. Not just “good.” Special. I’ve played a lot of RPGs. A lot of open-world games. And somehow this dusty, broken, chaotic desert game still sits near the top for me years later. First thing that hits you is the freedom. Real freedom. Not the fake kind where the game pretends you have choices. In New Vegas, you can be a complete bastard, a hero, a silent psycho, or just some random guy trying to make bottlecaps. And the game actually reacts. People remember what you did. Factions hate you or love you based on real decisions, not dialogue wheel fluff. The writing is just… different. It feels lived-in. Characters talk like people who have been through ♥♥♥♥, not like video game NPCs reading a script. Benny, Mr. House, Caesar, Yes Man… every major character has actual personality and motivation. Even the side characters stick with you. That courier life hits different. Combat is janky as hell, let’s be honest. Especially early on. VATS is still satisfying though. And when you finally start stacking perks and building a proper character, it becomes this beautiful mess of overpowered nonsense. Sneak criticals, explosive weapons, energy weapons that melt everything… it’s pure dopamine. The world itself is my favorite part. The Mojave doesn’t feel like a theme park. It feels like a place that’s barely holding together. You walk into a settlement and it feels like people are just surviving, not waiting for the player to show up and solve their problems. That atmosphere is something modern games keep trying to copy and usually fail at. Is it buggy? Of course it is. It’s an Obsidian game on the old Gamebryo engine. You’re gonna crash. You’re gonna fall through the map. You’re gonna have a companion get stuck in a rock. But somehow that jank became part of the charm. Like the game is as broken as the world it’s showing you. I’ve replayed this thing more times than I can count. Different builds, different factions, different endings. And every time I still find new dialogue or a small detail I missed. That’s rare. Modern games have better graphics, smoother combat, bigger maps… but very few of them have this much soul. New Vegas feels like it was made by people who actually gave a ♥♥♥♥ about the story and the player’s freedom. If you’ve never played it, go in blind. Don’t look up builds. Don’t min-max on your first run. Just walk out of Goodsprings and see what kind of person you become. This game still holds up. Hard.

El juego esta hasta el culo de bugs y ni siquiera puedo descargar los mods que lo parchean sin antes comprar los DLC, pero te deja contratar prostitutas y un robot sexual, así que se lo perdono

I originally only played this game because I got attached to Arcade and Benny, but this is such an awesome game with plenty of funny moments. My only complaint is the inability to run.
